For residents and business owners in the southern Westchester area who rely on fuel oil, becoming a member of Greenacres Oil Purchasing Consortium, Inc. will grant you access to discounts on fuel oil and other necessary heating equipment services.

I hereby apply for membership in GOPC, and agree to abide by the terms and conditions as agreed upon between GOPC and GOPC-designated fuel supplier, as advised to GOPC members. I understand I must meet GOPC designated fuel supplier's standard terms for payment and credit. I further understand that GOPC, its officers and its directors are in no way responsible for the payment of my bills to the supplier, for service related to my furnace, or for fuel delivery of fuel oil; and that GOPC is not responsible or liable for any damages that occur for any reason whatsoever. So long as I remain a member of GOPC and benefit from any offerings of goods and services, I agree to purchase my home heating oil #2 from GOPC-designated fuel supplier. This supplier will have the right to terminate my fuel account if payment is not made according to usual business practices.

How It Works

Who can join? Anyone in Southern Westchester can become a member.
How much will I save? Members have experienced average savings of $0.25 to $0.30 per gallon. A 1,500 gallon member could save $375-$450 per heating season. Non-members pay that much more than GOPC members pay.
How do I pay? Members deal directly with GOPC fuel company for oil deliveries and service. Oil deliveries will be on a regular basis. The fuel company bills members directly. An additional $0.02 per gallon reduction is afforded to members who make timely payments within 15 days of invoice date. Automatic payment plans are available.
Do I get burner service? Yes! Boiler cleaning and combustion efficiency tests are included, along with parts and labor. Members deal with GOPC fuel company under an annual service contract that assures a quick response and emergency service.
Am I locked in with GOPC? No! If you wish to terminate your association with GOPC, all you need to do is notify us in writing.
How does GOPC operate? A volunteer board of directors and a part-time professional administration oversee all operations. Periodic reports are mailed to members. Directors’ meetings are held regularly and there is an Annual Meeting of the membership. Committees periodically review supplier bids to get the best value for members. Financial statements are prepared by a paid accountant.
How will GOPC cover its expenses? In addition to the one-time membership fee, the fuel supplier will pay GOPC $0.01-$0.02 per gallon of oil sold to GOPC members. That amount pays for expenses, including phone, stationery, mailings, auditing, public notices, and administrative fees.
How do I join? You join GOPC simply by completing and signing the Application/Agreement Form and retuning it with a check to cover your one-time $25 membership fee to the address above.
